FAQ

Common questions

What is My TV Player?

My TV Player is a media player and TV guide for the playlist you already have. Add the playlist your provider gives you, as an M3U file, a URL or a provider login, organize channels into groups, and play your provider's channels, movies and shows with a full programme guide. Playback runs in native apps for Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, Android TV and Google TV, Fire TV, Samsung TVs, Xbox, Windows and Mac, managed from the web console. A Linux app is coming soon.

Do you provide channels or content?

No. We do not provide, sell, host, bundle, or recommend any channels, playlists, streams, or subscriptions to content. You bring a playlist from a provider you subscribe to, and you are responsible for having the right to watch it.

On which devices does it work?

Android phones and tablets, Chromebooks, iPhone and iPad, Android TV and Google TV, Fire TV, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox Series S/X (10-foot app you sign into with a pairing code - no typing on the TV), Windows 11 (native WinUI 3 desktop app) and Mac, plus any modern browser for the management console. A Linux app is coming soon.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free includes every player app plus the web account manager: one device, one profile, one playlist, and a now-and-next guide. Paid plans add the full multi-day guide, catch-up, sync between devices and more profiles; Family and Household also add more devices. Recording and multiview are in the Windows and Mac apps.
